What is an Energy Service Company?
An Energy Service Company (ESE or ESCO) is one that provides energy efficiency improvement services while taking on some economic risk, since its remuneration is tied to the energy savings actually achieved.
Under this model, the client organisation gains access to energy efficiency improvements without having to face the entire initial investment, which can be financed with the savings generated.
