Measurement and Verification Plans

We rigorously quantify the energy savings achieved by applying the international IPMVP protocol.

What is measurement and verification?

Measurement and verification (M&V) is the set of processes that make it possible to reliably quantify the energy savings achieved after implementing an energy efficiency measure.

Since savings cannot be measured directly —they are the difference between actual consumption and what would have occurred without the measure—, a rigorous methodology is needed to give the results credibility.

We prepare measurement and verification plans in accordance with the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP), the global reference standard, essential in energy service contracts and in the CAE scheme.
